General Summary

The Corporate Account Executive, Advanced Therapies (CAE/AT) is responsible for establishing targets, identifying leads, and for driving sales of biological source / starting materials in Advanced Therapies to meet/exceed established revenue goals. Work with Operations and internal subject matter experts to gather client technical information to be used to develop solutions for client programs with the objective of compelling clients to

partner with BBG in its mission to “save and enhance lives through the healing power of human cells and tissue”. This individual will be expected to identify and generate new revenue opportunities through networking initiatives, client referrals and cold calling. The individual must also be able to develop effective sales proposals that support both core biological starting materials and cross-selling opportunities for other relevant service offerings. Conducting Voice‐of‐Client/Customer activities through established or new feedback channels, in collaboration with the Marketing Department is also a required task and competency. Additional responsibilities may include attending sales meetings to provide progress updates, as well as researching and developing a full understanding of industry trends. To be successful in this role, the individual should be able to analyze sales performance metrics and be skillful at negotiating contracts. Ultimately, an exceptional CAE should demonstrate excellent communication, management and client service skills to drive satisfaction and delight the clients. The individual should exhibit collaboration, initiative, and most importantly, integrity. It is also expected that he or she will be well versed in regulatory and quality requirements, as well as knowledge of all pertinent BBG standard operating procedures.

Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (internal or external, including donors for select positions) through multiple feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes.

It is essential that the incumbent have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years old with a good driving record to meet organization driving standards.


Major Duties and Responsibilities


Essential Tasks


Work with clients to better understand their business needs and goals, focusing on starting materials, but with the ability to think about and prioritize overall enterprise needs and capabilities.

Design and implement strategic plans to reach sales targets. Develop and promote monthly and quarterly sales objectives. Draft detailed and accurate sales reports.


Cultivate lasting relationships with clients.

Coordinate internal and external strategic meetings and participate in presentations.

Serve as primary sales point of contact for clients.

Coordinate with marketing to plan and execute field campaigns with specific business objectives. Maintain comprehensive and accurate records, including sales forecasts, in the CRM [please apply online] Perform gap analysis on current accounts to identify enterprise cross-selling opportunities.

Capacity and capability planning with Operational team.

Have an awareness of service contracts and their expiration date in order to help facilitate renewals (as applicable).

Draft and submit applicable legal contract documents for review.

Provide weekly/monthly and other ad hoc reporting as required.

Maintain a strong understanding of the entire portfolio, a high level of technical and application competence and utilize this knowledge to drive business.

Work with Operations and Sales Team colleagues to generate quotes and statements of work (SOWs). Provide continuous client‐related feedback to sales leadership.

Provide cross‐functional support to other departments as required.

Responsible for being reactive to client requests.

Perform other duties and lead special projects as required and assigned.

Demonstrate and promote the enterprise vision and support existing client accounts by ensuring clients’

satisfaction and future sales needs.

Confidently represent BBG at scientific and industry meetings and conferences.

Set realistic sales quotas (as applicable).

Identify client needs and communicate how our portfolio of products and services fulfill those needs.

In collaboration with Operational and Quality teams, develop accurate and timely responses to Request‐for‐Proposals (RFPs) and conduct proposal presentations as needed.

Collect client feedback to determine product and services shortfalls.

Support Program Management by maintaining a regular visit cadence thus creating a relationship of trust with the client.

Be dedicated to the highest standards of quality and adhere to all safety, regulatory, and quality requirements.

Foster an atmosphere of open, honest communication and knowledge-sharing among workers in business units throughout the organization.


Assist with preparing and monitoring sales forecasts and department revenue budget.

Master the use of client relationship management software (Salesforce).

Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.

Education

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work relative to the field of assignment. Preferred major is Biology/Life Sciences, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Management or related fields.

Prefer a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.


Licenses and/or Certifications

Valid United States Driver’s License

US Passport preferred

Advanced certification in related area preferred


Experience


Requires three or more years of cellular or advanced therapy experience. Requires sales experience.

Requires demonstrated experience interfacing with clients in a life science-based company. Requires proven experience in Business Development.

Prefer leadership experience.

Prefer experience with CAR T, CAR NK, Apheresis Products and their supply chain, and Advanced Therapies.


Knowledge

Must have a demonstrated understanding of the cell & gene therapy supply chain landscape.

Must have or obtain a working knowledge of biological starting materials, infectious disease testing and biomanufacturing.

Must obtain a working knowledge of regulatory/quality requirements and perform within all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.

Must maintain familiarity of regulatory/quality compliance, to include FDA, EU, ISO, GHM, cGMP, OSHA, AATB, AABB, FACT, etc.


Skills

Must have or obtain high level of proficiency using Client Relationship Management (CRM) software such as SalesForce as well as social media platforms, and other web‐ based applications.

Working Environment

Works in well-lighted, air-conditioned and heated vehicle or office environments, but may work in confined spaces and non-climate controlled conditions. May be exposed to electrical and chemical hazards and other conditions common to an office environment. May be required to work at any time of the day, evening or night during the week or weekend to include being on-call. Out of town and overnight stays required, up to 50% of the time.
